Alongside playing bass in Freak Kitchen, being a tattoo artist and a trailrunner I am involved in doing pro-bono work for The Foundation for Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital as Creative Director at Nowagruppen. The Foundation for Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital has been fundraising money to improve life quality and wellbeing for children, young people and families at Sweden’s largest children’s hospital since 2001. This is where I want the money Gore donates to go to.
Working with children in need is highly emotional. Visiting the children’s hospital, actually seeing what they have to endure, seeing their strength and will to fight really puts things in perspective. Their courage and fighting spirit is inspiring, they are my role models. The chance to actually do something good for children in need is a huge motivator, and no matter how hard the Transalpine Run RUN2 might be, it will all be worth it in the end. This is what is helping me push through.
When children are affected by diseases or serious injuries The Foundation for Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital provide things and experiences that encourages playfulness, inspiration, comfort, hope and physical activity to increase the well-being and quality of life for the affected children and their families. The foundations funds and efforts are a complement for the care that the hospital provide.
