Taking on the GORE-TEX Transalpine Run RUN2


The GORE-TEX Transalpine Run RUN2 is a brand new race originating from the GORE-TEX Transalpine Run where 300 teams of two complete 250 kilometres and 16,000 vertical metres across the Alps on foot. ​ The GORE-TEX Transalpine Run RUN2 consists of two days, enabling more athletes to begin their dream of participating in an alpine crossing and taking them one step closer in running a full Transalpine Run. The two stages of the RUN2 are not to be underestimated. Stage one starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (at around 700 metres above sea level) and leads 43.7km through the Wetterstein Mountains to Nassereith. Runners will complete a total of 2470 vertical metres of uphill. Day two begins in Nassereith and the runners will after 27.6 kilometres and 1624 vertical metres arrive to their gole in Imst.

RUN2 will also include “VIP for Charity” Run – an initiative from W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore)

where teams of two complete the RUN2 and Gore donates 4 800 Euro to a charity organization chosen by the VIP runner in the team.

Christer will be in one of the 100 teams in RUN2. Additional 300 teams participating in the seven-day race on the start line on Sunday, 2 September 2018 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany will join them
